Creating Automatic Purchase Orders

First you have to make sure you have these 4 requirements: • Set minimum and maximum capacities for your location inventory. Under Inventory, go to: Management > View Inventory by Item. • Make sure your products are linked to a wholesaler. Under Products go to: Settings. • Have a Gmail account: i.e.: you@gmail.com • Have the wholesaler email address information. From the Manager Screen choose “Inventory.” Choose “Automatic Purchase Orders.” Select your wholesaler. Select your locations. Using a Gift Card

On the Sales screen, press the “Gift Cards” icon (located on the bottom of screen). Select the “Use Existing Gift Card” option. Enter the unique gift card code located on the customer’s gift card and press “Locate.”   Once Nova finds the gift card, choose the amount to charge and press “Charge Card.”   Complete the sale.   Tip: If the customer is missing their Gift Card, read Locating a Gift Card to find it.

View Total Sales by Location

You have three options: Option 1 From The Real-Time Dashboard, choose the region (or check-mark “Show all regions”) and the desired date. Under “Total Sales By Location” you can see all your locations. Option 2 From the Manager screen, choose “Locations” and then “Reports.” Choose the region, choose the location and desired dates (From date → To Date) and then press “Load” icon. Option 3 From the Manager screen, choose “Accounting” and then “Profit/Loss Report.” Choose the region (or check-mark “Show all regions”), select the desired dates (From date → To Date) and then press the “Load” icon.

Hiding Prices and Discounts on a Receipt

From the Management Screen choose Locations > Settings Select the location and choose “Edit Location.” Choose the “Location Information” tab and scroll to the bottom of the screen.   To Hide individual product prices: Un-check option: “Show individual product prices on the receipt.” To hide discounts: Un-check option: “Show individual product discounts on the receipt.” Click “Save”.

Giving a Gift Card for Free

On the Sales screen, press the “Gift Cards” icon (located on the bottom of screen). Choose “Sell a new Gift Card.” Enter the gift card amount into the Gift Card Value box. For the gift card price, over-ride with $0 (for FREE) and press “Add.” This option will only work if there is enough “spare” in the sale to cover the cost of the gift card. Otherwise a manager authorization will be required.

Including the Tax in the Product Price

Login to Manager screen. Choose “Location.” Choose “Settings.” Select the location and choose “Edit Location.” Choose “Location Preferences”. Check option: “Include tax in the product price.” Click “Save.”

View Total Sales by Employee

You have two options: Option 1 From the Real-Time Dashboard, choose the region (or check-mark “Show all regions”) and desired date. Under “Total Sales By Employee” you can see all your Employees that worked on the desired date. Cash Drawer Management Options

From the Manager Screen, choose “Locations.” Choose “Settings.” Select your location and click on “Edit Location.” Select the second tab, “Location Preferences.” Under Security there are 2 check boxes which allow for 3 options.   By clicking “Enable cash count” you are allowing anyone with Sales Representative access to perform Cash Counts.  This is when the money in the drawer is counted and logged.   By clicking “Open cash drawer ONLY after a sale has been made” Everyone including the Full Owner will be blocked from performing a Cash Count and the drawer will only be opened in the event Read more

View Inactive/Deleted Products

From Manager Screen, choose “Products” and then choose “Settings.” Select “Inactive Products.”

Changing the Expiration Date of a Gift Card

From the Manager screen choose “Locations” and then choose “Settings.” Choose your location and click on “Edit Location.” Go to the “Location Preferences” tab. Type in the desired expiration date for “Default Gift Card Expiration.”
